Having spent his summers in the idyllic Latvian countryside for over 20 years, Tobias Kaspar started in 2024 to collaborate with a small wool factory near his summer house. Founded in 1914, it has roots in workshops from 1876 and survived the Soviet occupation, continuing to craft traditional Latvian and Baltic blankets until today.
Once the raw sheep wool from regional sheep farms is delivered, everything is handmade in-house: washing, spinning, dyeing, and weaving the wool into warm and gently heavy blankets.
After weaving, each blanket is treated in a drum lined with small nails, opening the wool fibres and giving it an even softer touch.
